A review of: Armada by Ernest Cline

I really wanted to like this, I really did. I liked Ready Player One, and was really happy to get my hands on a copy of this. But I just couldn't get over the pop culture overload. It really felt like this was a mashup of the pop culture formula from RPO and The Last Starfighter with anticlimactic turns of events sprinkled in. And I really didn't like the main character. Hate to say it, but this just fell flat for me. Two stars max.
